Sage Wrap Bracelet
Peruvian Slate Jasper. Picture Jasper. Copper.
One of my favorite things about making jewelry is the sourcing of unique, hard to find (but most importantly authentic) stones and beads. I like finding out about their origins, their metaphysical properties and the shapes in which they're cut.
This piece contains just such a find. Peruvian Slate Jasper has been hard to come by, and I managed to get some of these beautiful faceted stones with their desaturated greens, blues and rusts and they are becoming one of my absolute favorites. The color of these instantly reminded me of the sage brush that surrounds our house here in the Roaring Fork Valley. Paired with Picture Jasper and Copper, (and if you believe the stories of the healing properties of stones and gems,) this is an earthy, grounding and nurturing piece.
